The CCDI Weightlifting Team put on an absolute clinic in Daet, hauling an incredible 17 Gold, 3 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals! From defending national champions to rising freshmen, the Wildcats proved they are the undisputed kings and queens of the platform in Region V.

DAET, CAMARINES NORTE — The powerlifters of the Computer Communication Development Institute (CCDI) delivered a commanding and historic performance in the weightlifting competition of the PRISAA Regional Games 2026.

Showcasing unparalleled strength and technique against the region’s finest student-athletes, CCDI emerged as the absolute dominant force, securing an impressive 17 Gold, 3 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals.

🥇 Queens of the Platform

Leading the charge in the Women’s category were Glaiza Las Piñas and Christina Michaela Altarejos. The dynamic duo displayed exceptional prowess, sweeping their respective divisions. Each collected three Gold medals—dominating the Snatch, Clean and Jerk, and Overall events—accounting for a massive six Golds for the team.

  • Angelo Discaya: The former national PRISAA Gold medalist retained his crown in the up to 54kg category, dominating the platform to add multiple Golds to the tally.

  • Jeremy Jamolin: The freshman delivered a massive breakthrough performance, clinching three Gold medals in the up to 58kg category.
